Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with company policy, OSHA and MEWP standards
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic must be able to communicate with Service Manager on problems that could result in a work delay
- Knowledge of Aerial Equipment
- Preferably JLG and Genie Certified
- Service and maintain a fleet of Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts and Forklifts
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic should have experience in electronics and hydraulics
- Diesel and gas engine experience with prior experience as Forklift and Boom Lift mechanic
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50lbs
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic should be able to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude
- Must be dependable and report to work on time
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic must provide own tools
- Must not have a fear of heights
